The Ada Jenkins Center at 212 Gamble St. has teamed up with the Charlotte Checkers hockey club for a fund-raiser that will help support the center’s after-school program. It’s Sunday, Feb. 10, when the Checkers play the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 4 p.m. at Bobcats Arena in Charlotte.

Officials from Davidson, Huntersville and Cornelius will hold another follow-up workshop Thursday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. at Huntersville Town Hall on their proposed N.C. 73/ Davidson-Concord Road Area Plan. A draft of the plan will be presented. The plan can be downloaded from the town Website in advance of the meeting.
